In the spring of 2020, I was unable to visit my studio. Half-finished ceramic sculptures lay abandoned due to pandemic stay-at-home regulations. I began drawing my sculptures from memory; the drawings evolved into fantasies of medical interiors. I imagined my sculptures atop clinical apparatus and within architectures culled from my experiences of hospital rooms and diagnostic sites. The off-kilter spaces reveal my simultaneous sense of alienation and awe, anticipation and dread; and my sense of humor.
